TERRAVOX — PRIVACY POLICY

This Privacy Policy explains how Terravox (“Terravox”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects information when you use the Terravox mobile application and related services.
Terravox is operated by Denys Pushkar, a sole proprietor (Einzelunternehmer) registered in Austria, who acts as the data controller for personal data processed through Terravox.

1. Information We Collect
When you create or use a Terravox account, we may collect your email address, username and unique user ID. Terravox supports Google Sign-In and email/password authentication. When you use Google Sign-In, we use information necessary to authenticate your account. We do not store your Google profile photo or other Google profile information as part of your Terravox account unless expressly stated otherwise.
2. Location Data
Location is a core part of Terravox gameplay. With your device permission, Terravox may access location coordinates to determine your position in the game world, validate location-based gameplay, determine interactions with territories and points of interest, support exploration and maintain exploration/game progress.
Terravox sends relevant location coordinates to its servers when necessary to provide these features. Terravox does not maintain a continuous historical record of your GPS route. Limited location-related information may nevertheless be retained as sparse exploration records or as part of gameplay data necessary to maintain your exploration, interactions and progress in the persistent game world.
Location data is not used to provide advertising. You may control location access through device settings; disabling it may prevent location-based gameplay features from functioning correctly.
3. Step and Fitness Data
With your permission, Terravox may access step count only through Apple HealthKit on iOS or Health Connect on Android. We do not request other health or fitness information such as heart rate, sleep information, body weight, medical records, blood glucose or other clinical information.
Step-count information is used to calculate in-game XP and support game progression. Terravox may store the cumulative step count associated with your account where necessary to provide these gameplay features.
Health and fitness information obtained through HealthKit or Health Connect is not used for advertising or marketing, sold to advertising networks or data brokers, or used to build advertising profiles. You may withdraw access through your device settings.
4. Gameplay Information
To operate the persistent game world, we store gameplay information associated with your account. This may include XP and level progression, Gold, Food, Military Power, Gems, territories, points of interest, buildings, Loyalty/influence, Empire membership, battle results, exploration information and other information required to maintain game progress.
5. Username and Public Game Information
Your username may be visible to other players in relevant areas of the shared game world, including territories, gameplay activity and Empire membership. Your email address is not publicly displayed to other players through the Game.
6. Analytics and Attribution
Terravox uses Amplitude for product analytics and AppsFlyer for installation and marketing attribution. Terravox may provide a Terravox user ID and analytics events to Amplitude. Depending on SDK configuration, AppsFlyer may process technical information, device identifiers, network information, installation information and attribution or engagement information.
We do not provide HealthKit or Health Connect step-count data to AppsFlyer or Amplitude for advertising, marketing attribution or advertising profiling.
7. Advertising and Payments
Terravox does not display third-party advertising in Version 1 and Version 1 does not currently offer in-app purchases. We do not sell personal information to advertisers or data brokers. If advertising, paid features or other monetization are introduced later, this Privacy Policy will be updated where necessary.
8. How We Use Your Information
We use information to create and authenticate accounts; provide gameplay and maintain progress; process location-based gameplay and exploration; calculate XP from step count; operate the persistent shared world; analyze usage and product performance; measure acquisition sources; prevent abuse, fraud and cheating; diagnose technical problems; respond to support/privacy requests; and comply with legal obligations.
9. Legal Bases for Processing
Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, our legal bases may include: performance of a contract to provide accounts and core gameplay; consent for device location, step-count access and other permissions where required; legitimate interests for security, fraud/cheating prevention, diagnostics and service improvement where permitted; and legal obligations where processing or retention is required by law.
Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw device permissions through device settings. Withdrawal does not affect processing carried out before permission was withdrawn.
10. How We Share Information
We may provide information to service providers that help operate Terravox. Terravox currently uses Supabase for backend infrastructure, authentication and storage; Amplitude for product analytics; AppsFlyer for attribution; Google for Google Sign-In; Apple HealthKit and Health Connect for permitted access to step count.
We do not sell your personal information or share HealthKit/Health Connect step-count information with advertising networks, data brokers or attribution providers for advertising or marketing purposes. Information may also be disclosed where reasonably necessary to comply with law, enforce rights or protect Terravox and its users.
11. Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, loss or destruction. Data transmitted between the application and backend services is protected using appropriate transport security such as HTTPS/TLS. No electronic system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
12. Data Retention
We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected or processed. Account/gameplay information may generally be retained while your account remains active. Location-related gameplay records are retained only where necessary to maintain exploration or persistent gameplay state; Terravox does not maintain a continuous GPS route history. Step-count information may be retained where necessary for XP and progression. Analytics and attribution information may be retained according to service configuration and relevant provider practices.
Certain information may be retained longer where reasonably necessary for security, fraud/abuse prevention, dispute resolution, enforcement of rights or legal obligations. When no longer reasonably necessary, information will be deleted or anonymized where appropriate.
13. Deleting Your Account and Data
You may request deletion through the account deletion functionality in the Game. We will delete or take reasonable steps to delete personal information associated with your account, including account information, email, username, user ID, applicable location-related records, stored step-count information, gameplay progress and applicable analytics information associated with identifiers that can reasonably be deleted.
Some limited information may be retained where legally required or reasonably necessary for security, fraud/abuse prevention, dispute resolution or enforcement of rights. Non-personal or anonymized elements of the persistent shared world may remain where they can no longer reasonably be linked to the deleted user. See our Delete Account page.
14. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on applicable law, including the GDPR, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data; restrict or object to certain processing; request portability where applicable; withdraw consent; and lodge a complaint with a competent data-protection authority. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests.

15. Children’s Privacy
Terravox is intended for users 16 years of age and older. It is not intended for children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child under 16 has created an account or provided personal information, contact denyspushkar@gmail.com. If we become aware of such collection, we will take reasonable steps to delete the account and associated personal information, subject to applicable legal requirements.
16. International Data Transfers
Terravox and some service providers may process information outside your country of residence, including outside the EEA. Where GDPR-protected personal information is transferred outside the EEA, we rely on appropriate mechanisms where required, which may include European Commission adequacy decisions, Standard Contractual Clauses or other legally recognized safeguards.
17. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to Terravox, its functionality, data practices, third-party services or legal requirements. We will update the “Last updated” date and provide additional notice where required by applicable law or where changes materially affect processing.
